- First Friday - June 4, 2010
- CB CARES, our show-cased non-profit organization, was host at State and Hamilton for local musicians, magicians and everything "All About Animals!" In addition to other various activities throughout D-town, there was a special "Aquatastic" First Friday at the YMCA. While it was hot and muggy all day with a forecast of severe thunder showers for later, the rain never came and the temperature dropped just enough to make it a comfortable and enjoyable evening outside. - At State and Main the Solebury Club stage hosted several great musicians--there were also artists, a magician and volunteers from the Twilight Wish Foundation. At State and Hamilton there was "Fun and Festivities" for the entire family with an inflatable Bounce room, local student musicians, a Rock Wall and a Caricature artists. And throughout D-town the shops and eateries were open late with more live bands, artists and special activities for all ages. A cool and comfortable 64 degrees made the evening that much more enjoyable. (48 Photos)

- The EASTER BUNNY hopped on by the Central Bucks Family YMCA and MOTHER GOOSE was in town for the CB Cares "Reading for Pleasure" Event. In addition to many other activities for children, there was plenty of music and art for adults and teens to enjoy. No need for a jacket or sweater this night--with a temperature of 72 degrees it's no wonder we had a nice size crowd this evening! (52 Photos)

- After all the snow storms and blizzards we have been having this winter, the weather tonight sure was a pleasant surprise. Clear, no wind and a little over 40 degrees--it almost felt like spring in comparison! Special events for the evening were YMCA activities at their facility and in town at the Bookshop, and Villa Capri Ristorante hosted open Mic Night auditions for the new "First Friday MC" position. - News of the impending snow storm closed many shops and some FFD events were cancelled. For those who took the chance to venture into town, however, the unexpected delay and "calm before the storm" weather made for a rather nice evening. It was fun and kind of exciting walking around in anticipation as everyone talked about the big storm. The snow did eventually come, but later in the evening. (15 Photos)

- First Friday fell on New Year's Day this year and downtown was pretty quiet since most of the shops were closed. Quiet, that is, unless you took a stroll up to Saxby's Coffee or Puck Live. Both venues were open and packed with lively crowds who ate, drank and enjoyed the sounds of some really awesome bands. It just goes to show, there is ALWAYS something happening in Doylestown on First Friday! (12 Photos)

- The spirit of the upcoming holidays was felt throughout Doylestown on First Friday. We had Frosty, Rudolf, several Elves and, of course, the Big Guy himself! Santa Claus made a special stop at the YMCA as he rode in on a Fire Truck (the reindeer had the night off). The Main Street Baptist Church featured a Living Nativity, and clusters of Christmas Carolers spread joy as they strolled through the streets. With no wind and clear skies, the friendly crowd and all the "holiday warm and fuzzies," the 43 degree temperature felt mighty warm that night! (Over 41 photos)
- Michener Museum Tour
- Third grade students from Delaware Township School in Sergeantsville, NJ toured the museum on November 18, 2009, led by art teacher Angie Mikula. They toured the Jim Henson exhibit (no photographs allowed) and the rest of the museum. All agreed it was a wonderful educational experience.

- It was a little chilly outside (35-38 degrees), but we still had a nice turnout and there were plenty of activities inside. Nova (Network Of Victim Assistance) held their 16th Annual Galaxy Art Show which featured over 85 artists at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown.
- Fire Company's Fire Prevention Unit at Library
- The Doylestown Fire Company's Fire Prevention Unit's sixth annual visit to the Doylestown Branch of the Bucks County Free Library on 9/19/09, as guest readers for children's story time, a weekly program for toddlers and pre-K children. Attending were over 30 kids, their parents, and Doyle, the fire company's Dalmatian mascot. Fire Prevention Officer Larry Browne, his daughter Megan, 8, and associate member Paul Cain read children's books on firefighters and firefighting to the kids. Doyle and Lieutenant Todd Kulp, firefighters Chris Morris and Jenna Fetterolf, junior firefighter Brett Fetterolf and explorer Chris Hagstrom lent a hand with tours of Engine 19-1.
- Bucks County Sculpture Show 2009
- Sponsored by the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, this show took place at Keenan Motors, doylestown, from September 17 to October 7.

- Saturday rained out, but Sunday was a perfect day, sunny and breezy, with an exciting bike race and large, happy crowds.

- A second First Friday in a row with beautiful weather and a full moon as a backdrop! At the corner of State and Hamilton, the Central Bucks Family YMCA offered a full evening of free classes with everything from Hip Hop and Zumba to Karate, Aerobics and Boot Camp. The YMCA also sponsored fun activities for young children and a live rock band for the older kids. Only a few blocks away on the front lawn of the Courthouse, CB Cares Youth to Community (Y2C) presented awesome entertainment with several teen musical groups from 6 pm until dark. Add to these special events all the other music and art throughout the town, mix in a large and friendly crowd and you have another great FFD! (30 Photos)

- What a wonderful way to start the 4th of July weekend! Beautiful weather and a wonderful crowd of local families and visitors, all coming out to celebrate. This month's featured local non-profit organization, The Twilight Wish Foundation, was on hand to promote their charities and provided live entertainment and works by local artists. The Bucks County Library celebrated Red, White and Blue Night" with patriotic music, crafts, games and a "Wall of Heroes" with pictures of local military families and friends, and the CB Cares Youth to Community Arts Series (Y2C) hosted a play by the CB West Harlequin Club up on the Courthouse lawn. A perfect First Friday evening! Beautiful designer weather, great music performances, and a wonderful crowd. (Over 32 Photos)

- While it drizzled rain most of the evening outside, all throughout the town there was plenty of art, music and other activities indoors! The main highlights were: "Fun and Fit Night" at the Library with the Solebury Club, a "Pet/Rescue Fair" at the James Michener Art Museum with the Bucks County SPCA and Animal Lifeline, and Irish Dancing and Music with the Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance at the Mercer Museum. - All afternoon it was dreary and overcast with scattered showers then "lo and behold" we lucked out our second month in a row! By 6:00 pm the skies cleared the musicians and artists set up and the people starting coming into town as it turned out to be a beautiful evening weather-wise. Our First Friday host was the Hepatitis B Foundation, and NBC 10's Michelle Grossman was there to sign autographs. This month Starbucks featured several artists displaying their artwork for sale as continuous live music was performed on the porch and a magician entertained crowds of all ages the entire evening. - After a very brief downpour early on (you know it just HAD to happen on FFD in April), the skies cleared and the weather was a pleasant 60 plus degrees. Tabor Children's House, our featured Non-Profit organization, provided live music and entertainment from 5:30 - 9:30 pm, starting with an appearance by "Bee Diddy." Speaking of special guest appearances, tonight we had two: professional racecar driver Mike Senica and former "Wild Thing" Phils Pitcher, Mitch Williams. - Medal Award Ceremony for 1st Lt. Travis Manion
- December 5, 2008: 1st Lt. Travis Manion, who was killed in Iraq in April 2007, was honored posthumously with a Silver Star and Bronze Star with Valor awards. Marine Lt. Gen. John Allen presented the Silver Star and the Bronze Star with Valor awards to Manion’s parents, Tom and Janet, of Doylestown Township. General Allen said “He was a magnificent young man. His sacrifice will never be forgotten. I am deeply honored to have been with him along the way.”

- While the temperature dropped below freezing, that didn't stop friends and families from coming out to enjoy the Holiday Music performed by various groups throughout the town. Mr and Mrs Santa Claus, Rudolph, Frosty and even a few Elves flew in to see the children. In support of our Featured Organization, the New Britain Baptist Church Food Larder, FFD Volunteers held a food drive to help needy members of our community.

- NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance), our Spotlight Organization, held sketching demonstrations with live models and the "Wheel of Good Choices" for kids. And for the first time NOVA held their annual premiere fundraiser, the Galaxy Art Show & Sale, in conjunction with First Friday. The weather was warm, balmy and in the 60's. The shops were open late and the large crowd of friends and families made it feel like the middle of summer. On a sad note, many took the time to attend a memorial service for Doylestown Borough Police Officer Darren J. Lingo--an unexpected and tragic loss for the community.

- Bucks County Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service
- October 5, 2008 - residents and firefighters from across Bucks County gathered for the fourth year to honor local firefighters and fire police officers who died in the line of duty. Frederick Mayberry of Silverdale was added to the list of 22 at this year's service. Bucks County Commissioner James Cawley, along with Pa. State Fire Commissioner Ed Mann, were among the dignitaries who addressed the assembled audience. The ceremony closed with everyone in attendance laying a flower at the memorial.
- Doylestown Fire Co - Fire Prevention Open House 08 on First Friday
- The Doylestown Fire Company held it's annual fire prevention open house Friday night, Oct. 3, at the Shewell Ave. firehouse. This was the second year the event was held in conjunction with First Friday Doylestown, and once again, it was a great success. Over an estimated 800 people came to see fire trucks, rappelling demonstrations, and fire safety education. The winners of the annual fire prevention poster contest were announced and displayed. Special thanks to the staff from the Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department, for bringing the Teddy Bear Clinic, Plumsteadville Fire Company, the Middle Bucks Technical School Public Safety Program, and state representative Marguerite Quinn's office for their participation.

- THINK PINK was the theme of the evening, as FFD promoted National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and celebrated life. Representatives from the American Cancer Society's "Reach to Recovery Program," the Doylestown Hospital Cancer Center's CREP program and Gilda's Club were all on hand to answer questions and provide support. Various raffles, a silent auction and "Think Pink" items were for sale. The cool autumn weather, pink balloons, luminaries and music throughout the town made for a very pleasant and memorable First Friday. (Over 27 Photos)

- Saturday was canceled because of bad weather, but Sunday was superb with near-perfect weather, no problems, and a great bike race. Everyone was happy to be outside after Saturday's weather.

- As our FFD Spotlight Organization, The Doylestown Fire Co. No. 1, hosted several great bands and had various fun and educational activities for the entire family. Everything from children trying on firefighting gear and using real fire hoses, to fire truck tours, tool presentations and a live demo way atop the ladder. - PumpkinFest 2007
- 2007 marked the 16th anniversary of this fun-filled family festival, one of the largest two-day drug- and alcohol-free events of its kind in Pennsylvania. Pumpkinfest is a county-wide event that engages more than 450 volunteers and draws more than 25,000 visitors.

- Grades 7, 8, and 9 of Lenape Middle School responded to a request from the Doylestown Revitalization Board to help communicate the "We Share the Road" guidelines developed as part of Doylestown Borough's Safe Walking Initiative Program.

- Bucks to the Bayou Picnic, 2007
- The 1st Annual Bucks to the Bayou Picnic was held on Sunday, June 10th, 2007 at the Fonthill Museum in Doylestown, PA. The event was a success and raised over $40,000.00 for the building of the Food Pantry of Hancock in Mississippi.
