First Friday - November 7, 2008
NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance), our Spotlight Organization, held sketching demonstrations with live models and the "Wheel of Good Choices" for kids. And for the first time NOVA held their annual premiere fundraiser, the Galaxy Art Show & Sale, in conjunction with First Friday. The weather was warm, balmy and in the 60's. The shops were open late and the large crowd of friends and families made it feel like the middle of summer. On a sad note, many took the time to attend a memorial service for Doylestown Borough Police Officer Darren J. Lingo--an unexpected and tragic loss for the community.
